Must have skills-
Product Admin
Able to undertake product Installs and Maintenance task following standard guides and write new guides for new platforms/ product ver
basic problem diagnosis
able to perform softwar failure analysis (FDC) and resolution with RCA
Able to undertake problem diagnosis for infrastructure area
able to undertake the queue manager/broker creation tasks and security setup task following knowledge base and ability to enhance the existing
guides and scripts for new platforms and product ver
Knowledge of WMQ and/or WMB Admin, logging, tracing and troubleshooting (using commmand line)
Expert on WMQ and/or WMB admin,logging, tracing and troubleshooting (using commmand line)
Scripting Knowledge
Knows shell scripting, can understand, use and enhance the existing shell, create new scipts
Operational Support
Basic deployments
Develop WMQ build guide and scripts to implement the messaging design
Able to progress 80% of Incident/Problem and small change with no addition support
Able to progress 80% of Incident/Problem and small change under close supervision
Able to provide on-call support with back up support
Mentors less experience
Good to have Skills
Conceptual Knowledge Areas
Concepts of Technology - WMQ and/or WMB Admin
Concept of Digital certificate management and SSL
Concept of OAM cinfig, clustering & high availability config
OS Knowledge
Able to work on AIX and Linux and well versed with VI
Knowledge of Mainframe
Knowledge of Windows, xlinux, zlinux
Tools & Utilities
Knowledge of monitoring tools like Omegamon
Installation and Patch management using Bladelogic
Candidates should be ready to work on rotational shifts.
